Big (& Small) Changes

June 2010 (3 years old):

  • My new favorite movies are: “Robots” and “Toy Story”.
  • I still like to pick out what shirts I’m going to wear – and usually my shoes too.
  • My favorite foods are: mac n’ cheese, toast, peanut butter and fruit snacks.
  • I like to play with my friends. We play cars, trains, play on the slip n’ slide, swim in the pool, and ride our bikes.

October 2009 (28 months old):

  • Lately I’ve started doing a lot of cooking.  I get to do almost all the stirring when Mom and Dad are making stuff.
  • I’m finally in a big boy bed.  Dad made a platform for my twin mattress a few weeks ago, and it’s got really cool cubbies underneath it for all my gear.
  • I like to play in my tent.  Sometimes I sit in it and watch TV through the window.
  • I just started repeating a lot of words when I hear them.  Mom was beginning to think this day was never going to come.  Be careful what you wish for Ma!  Words that I’m really good at saying: shoes, feet, juice, cheese, hotdog, (lolli)pop, car, dumptruck, train (although I still call it a “two dum”, tent, Po (the panda bear in Kung Fu Panda), Manny (as in, Handy), “pum” (thumb), nose, eyes, tongue, “bobo” (elbow), balls, and my personal favorite Sweet Tea!  Also, boap (boat), teeth, and bowl.
  • I had my first bowl of cereal with milk in it.  Dad showed me how to drink the milk when I was all done. YUM!
  • I’m really good at helping Mom do the grocery shopping.  When they have the short shopping carts I get to push it, and fill it by myself.  When all they have is the big ones, I just get to fill it.  I like to help carry the grocery bags too….when they’re not too heavy.
  • I really like going to parties. I don’t understand why we don’t go to one every day.
